Disclaimer: I do not spend any time on public wifi. My password was not “guessable.” I don’t use the internet outside of my own home or workplace. I often operate on a VPN. My home network is built to let only 3 devices access it, two of which are mine (the other is my wife’s laptop). I don’t visit bizarre websites and I never let any third party processes access my devices or passwords. My password had letters, numbers and punctuation.
At 7:41 AM PST, someone in Jakarta, Indonesia tried to access my GW2 account, which means they had that password. Thank all Six Gods for the email authentication system or I’d be out of an account.
Has anyone else seen this behavior from this region? I’m 100% sure there were no security slip-ups on my end, and I’m hoping there aren’t any security holes on ANet’s end.
