I don’t know how the matchmaking mechanics work for the new Solo Queue, but it’s absolutely terrible at first sight.
I played my first game yesterday night, and all I got on my team was people with individual ranks of 10 and less: I am rank 42 with good experience in tournament play, and the opposite team had rank 20s and 30s. So what’s the deal with placing me with newbies who maybe never went in a tourny match?

Solo Queue, I think -with its own leaderboard- was a much anticipated addition, but the sole fact that the matchmaking system is such fail makes it pointless to participate in and, well, unattractive.
I know that if I want my set team I just have to form one up and jump into Team Arenas, but what the hell! That doesn’t mean Solo Arena should pair me with complete newbies! At least give me people my rank. Don’t know why I should be carrying newcomers or get sinked into the abyss of the Solo Q Leaderboard.
