So, I am interested to get both player and Dev feedback on this, and I’m not sure if it’s been asked before in any other threads or suggestion forums, anyway…
As everyone who does spvp probably wants team FFA style death matches, dueling arenas, crazy king conquest modes, search and destroy etc.., I was wondering what is Aanet’s stance on user created content?
Now seeing as there is a large modding community out there, I’m sure that players with the relevant skill set (including myself) could create a whole heap of custom arenas or maps for the game, heh you could even run monthly competitions with the best player created maps/gametypes becoming part of the available selection in GW2.
Not only would it create a lot of interest in the game, but add a lot of variety, Aanet could even provide access to a standard texture map and asset pack (which could change monthly depending on what the next expansion might be – ‘themed packs’), to ensure there are no issues with any IP law along with a set of rules – ie; poly counts, file naming conventions, etc.
So the reason for the spvp focus for this idea, is that the maps are pretty much self contained and don’t necessarily need to be part of the larger pve or wvwvw world and could be used as a way to get a larger community involvement.
Anyway so please feel free to discuss and offer suggestions/maps/gametypes etc, for enhancing the spvp experience.
