So my account got suspended..

And I think I know the reason why.

I remember yesterday at Lions Arch, there was a flood of gold seller’s spamming their websites and rates to the point where I could not keep track of the conversation going on in the map channel. Getting annoyed and irritated, I decided to sarcastically imitate these spammers by yelling out something ridiculous like..

“ZOMG BEST DEAL 10g = 24.5 USD GO TO www.I-will-steal-your-credit-card.com”

But with all the spam going on, I did not realize that people would not read my post carefully and probably got reported by a mass number. (And by the way, I did not repeatedly type this on map channel. Only typed it once)

So now my account is suspended, and I probably do deserve it, but I was wondering if my account will be permanently banned, temporarily banned, or will I just have to wait out the time it takes for the support team to unlock my account.

You have submitted a ticket, which is the correct thing to do. As you can see, there is a lot of spamming, and imitating spamming is a poor choice. I imagine you won’t do that again, and I’m sure the team will have you back in the game soon.
