Serial key concern

When I first registered my account during BW2, I contacted support about how Guild Wars 2 account service would work, I was told I won’t need my serial key anymore. But today I was fiddling around on Guild Wars 2 website and I clicked on “Forgot Password” apparently you need a serial key to gain access to your account in case you ever forget it. Now that I deleted my email awhile back, is there any possible way of obtaining my key? Maybe through proof of purchase?

If you purchased a box copy, you should find the code in the box. If you purchased a digital copy, you should be able to retrieve the code from your purchase confirmation email.

As you can imagine, we’re not going to be able to provide someone with the serial code on an account, since that would be giving them information that must be keep confidential for security reasons.
