I tought the rules were 1 click/action.
With the introduction of megaservers, people are struggling to get into the right map for harder world bosses or ‘golden’ Crown Pavilions at the moment. After right click /join in x -ing for about an hour regularly (fun way to play isn’t it?) I finally get into the right overflow (or map or whatever).
When I get in, I learn that people were using scripts (some even among my friends) to get in the same instance, only to screw me over (the 1 click/action person) some more. So on top of doing nothing for an hour (just mindless clicking) I am even at a disadvantage versus these techniques. Oh and the persons could play the game while waiting, you know, actually doing stuff, while I was standing in place and clicking.
Well as soon as I get in, I see not 1, not 2, not even 3 guys using 250+ scrolls of knowledge under 1 second (causing massive lag with it in the process). Either those are the fastest clicking persons ever, or some tomfoolery is afoot. So that’s legit now too? I’ve been playing since day 1, and I bet I’ve spent more than 24 hours opening orrian boxes and consuming the karma afterwards. I dread when my karma goes over 1 million – lately I don’t even bother.
I get it, that these are so minor offenses, that suspending these people would cause more harm than good. But screwing over the honest user isn’t a solution either.
So here are my solutions:
Bad solution:
Scripts for getting into maps: Drop the banhammer.
Autoclicker: Drop the banhammer.
Good solution:
Scripts for getting into maps: Add queues to maps.
Autoclicker: Finally add an option to ‘consume all’ – like it has been suggested since launch
Ps.: I couldn’t find a better topic as ‘suggestions’ had been obliterated over half a year ago, and it does concern accounts.
Ps2.: Is anything being done about this? Does Anet investigate this issue without a report? Cause: 1. It’s pretty hard to tell for a player if someone is using a script. 2. I know I wont report my friends.
