Remove the Score - Make WvW Interesting Again

This issue was brought up quite a while ago right after release (and I’m sure since then) but I feel it may be a good point to bring this up again since the game been out for a while.

I’d like to propose to have the overall match score (maybe even ppt) from the interface. By Wednesday, most matchups are already decided. That leaves 3 days of rather lackluster quality of play. There is no sense of urgency to anything. Often times in TS or on map chat you will hear people say, “Well, we are already locked in for 2nd, who cares”. This will also give your WvW leaderboards some actual meaning now because we will want to know what happened in the past week. How well did we fare? Keeping the scores hidden will keep the “casual/fair-weather” players playing because they feel like they have something to fight for and are making progress. When you log in and see that you are down 70k, you really have little to no motivation to show up.

Maybe we could get some perspective from Devon on this one?

We are not going to remove the score. What we are going to try and do is find a way to make the score relevant throughout a match, but it is not an easy solution.
