If you have a specific order you want to join do not do so with another player. I was in my friend’s personal story during the part of choosing which order to join. After we choose priory and finish the mission, my next mission become the vigil one instead of the priory path. Most likely the vigil is the default path and when it doesn’t get update correctly player gets short end of the stick.
