Problems Installing, What Do I Do?

I recently bought Guild Wars 2, and upon installing (from a disc) and it was going fine until I had to shut the computer down for irrelevant reasons and this morning I set it off downloading again and it took longer on 10% so I ignored this and when to school.
When I got back 6 hours later I was disappointed and confused to find that the game was still at 10%, I tried again and it got stuck on 10% again. What am I supposed to do? Is the game broke or is it me? (If it helps I’m downloading this to a portable hard drive)
