Pretty Weird Launcher Issue

I recently reformatted my computer (rolled back from 8 to 7 today) because I just couldn’t take 8 anymore.

Anywho,

I logged in, downloaded the installer aaaand.. nada.. so I read up on the forums that a solution was to rename the GW2Setup.exe to GW2.exe and place it in my /Documents/GuildWars2 folder.

Ran it.. loaded up about 3k kb and then stopped. Then I ran it as admin.. and now all the time it just says "Downloading 0KB (0KB/sec).

I thought for sure it was internet or firewall or something but actually.. its downloading. It is sitting at that downloading screen but the DAT file is growing.

This only worries me that when it’s done it wont allow me to login or show me the login thing.

Hey there,

First, I’d advise not putting the client in your Documents folder as this can create more issues in the long run.

Secondly, can you clarify the “nada” when you try to run the installer? Are you getting any error messages at all? What exactly is happening? The more info you are able to provide the more quickly myself or someone else can give you some insight on this issue.
