Personal Story Progression error

Me and friend have been doing the Personal Story together. We got up to A Light in the Darkness, and ended up completing it twice so we could choose different fears.

Eventually we both did Forging the Pact (his version of it), and because it’s a rather long and annoying quest, I chose to hand it in along with him, instead of completing my own version of it. Unfortunately, because of this, I’ve been given the quest ‘Tower Down’, which is from his choice of fear (someone dying because of me, or something), instead of the one I chose (my comrades looking down on me, the mesmer one).

I’m just wondering if there’s anything that can be done, and alerting ANet to fix this so it doesn’t ruin anyone else’s progression. As it stands there’s already quite a few things putting people off doing Personal Story quests together with friends.

TL;DR version: it’s a known bug, since accepting progress of the other player will put you on the same followup story step, even if you wouldn’t normally be on that step. At this time, there’s nothing we can do, sorry. CS does not have the tools to reset your story progress, or change your current story step.
