In the cave, after defeating the dredge chief (“Directorate Chief Spalaxinov”),
the last step “Make the dredge chief tell you what he knows” doesn’t trigger.
The NPC dredge chief just lies on the ground with no response when interacting with it (it just says “Hello”, “Hello, comrade”, “Greetings comrade”, etc.). So the story gets stuck there.
I just ran though this story step, and it completed correctly. When you defeat the dredge chief, a short dialogue cutscene plays, and the quest moves to the next step. Note that you don’t get the typical “complete” splash/fanfare, but the objective will move to “Speak with Steward Gixx.” (That story step involves moving across multiple maps.) Is it possible that another step is still incomplete? If you walk past one of the artifacts without searching it, it might leave an incomplete step.
