New Account name not working

Hello All:)

I have recently wanted to get back to playing Guild Wars 2. Upon logging into my account on the website I was able to change my email, which I did. *Side note, before I changed my email though and logged in, I noticed that my browser had saved my password and old email so I was able to log in even though I did not remember my password. So after changing my email(and password) I downloaded the client so I could log in and start playing. I noticed that my old email was saved in the client so I typed in the new one with my password. When I hit enter I had a pop up that said that my account name was not found.

So I tried my old account name and what I thought was the old password. I got another pop up that said the password was wrong but nothing indicating that the Account name was wrong.

Now, every time I chat with support they reset my password and I tell them not too because that is not the issue. I tell them that it seems that somehow my old email is still associated with the account even though I have changed the account name. Could someone please shed some light?
