My last suggestion.

I have been permanently I.P banned(friend tried logging in his account on my computer) for saying bad words in the in game map chat and also from my gw1 account which I invested over $200+ a few years back because I have linked the accounts for the HoM benefits and they have already told me via email that they will never as long as they are alive reverse the decision and they will ignore any future tickets I open or just set it to be automatically closed the second it is sent. I’ve already sort of gotten over being sad and depressed knowing I wasted 5+ years of my life obsessively waiting for this games release.

I just wanted to make one final suggestion before I leave this forum forever. I suggest that they implement some sort of account infraction progress bar. how Runescape has it that every time you get banned/muted it ticks up a little and gives you a final warning before you are permanently banned or muted and an account is either in the green yellow or red.
I just wanted to suggest this before I leave to help people in the future since they will behave better if given a final warning before a permanent ban and it will be better overall in the long term for the game and gem sales if people who are not causing internal damage to the game(like bots, hackers) and are playing as intended can avoid permanent bans.

Well…this is all I really had to say in my last post, I’ve had a lot of great suggestions that I have been working on in Microsoft word for many months now and have never gotten to posting them yet because I really was developing a passion for this game and just wanted to take my time and keep adding to and improving them before Anet would read them but now I have just deleted them all along with some fan made gw2 music videos and free advertising videos I was planning to upload on youtube soon after some more polishing.

Goodbye and just also wanted to say to Anet sorry for not being able to control my speech in game I know I’m an immature idiot who gets carried away sometimes when anonymous behind a keyboard and just also hope my suggestion gets taken into consideration before this thread gets buried or deleted and before more people get a permanent ban hammer for in game swearing.
I will be supporting this game indirectly through NCsoft once Wildstar is released.

First, I don’t know what you mean by saying “IP banned.” We terminate (ban) accounts, and we suspend accounts (give a time-out) but I’ve never head of us IP blocking. I am quite sure we do NOT do that.

I understand that you regret that your language incidents resulted in an account termination. I cannot remember this happening in Guild Wars 2 before, but looking at the logged chat, it was bad in many different ways, and those offenses took place over the course of many months.

We’re pretty clear about our expectations, and the escalating system usually makes it clear that we’re serious about not having offensive language in the game. (You can read about that here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-conduct-breaches-outcomes/ So as I said, it’s not common for someone to get a second chat violation, and really unusual for someone to keep racking them up.

Nothing to be done about this. The account termination is in conformance with our Rules of Conduct and User Agreement.
