When I first bought Guild Wars 2, I chose and was granted the screenname:
Nightbringer.5238
A few days ago, during the Halloween event, I decided to get a new secondary account. I was having some issues with that one due to my first attempt at setting it up with the same email address as my first account by accident/not understanding.
I was having some issues between trying to use the same email and then the same password as my first account.
Well, what ended up happening is I changed my mind on an account display name the next and final time I put it in with a different email and password.
One of the ones I tried when account set up failed was EMERALD EMPRESS. Upon final completion of the account I ended up with Stormsinger as my account name for the second account.
However, for some reason now my MAIN account name changed from Emerald Empress to Nightbringer but not everyone sees that on their screen. Some of my friends see it as one and not the other. I did send an in-game support ticket yesterday, but I know they can’t always respond so just wanted to highlight the issue here.
The other issue I’m having is that for my secondary account, every time I log into it I get asked to resend a validation email. I hit send and am able to get in the game but yet the email does not send to my address for me to validate/authenticate.
So to recap.
1: Main account display name changed from Nightbringer.5238 to Emerald Empress.5276. As of this moment, in my party/guild/friendlist/forum posts I see it as Emerald Empress but I know others see it still as Nightbringer. Since then, I have had issues where I am invisible but people are able to see me as online and whisper me anyway. (I have also sent an in-game support ticket about that).
Emerald Empress was GOING to be my screenname for my second account, but instead I chose and was granted Stormsinger.2348.
Desired Resolution: Account name reverts back to Nightbringer.5238 and hopefully fixes issues where I cannot play as invisible because people still see me online.
2: My secondary account, Stormsinger.2348, never received a validation email though I have resent through the launcher and site the authentication letter multiple times. However, it does let me log into the game regardless so I am just wondering what I can do in order to receive the email, which is an AOL one.
