Over the past 3 days I’ve had 5+ password reset requests sent to my email, becoming irritated I decided to check for authenticity and then change it to something else. What may be causing the request of password resets? has someone got my email name and is attempting to login without a password?
Would-be hackers often “ping” a lot of possible e-mail addresses to see if they can access an account. This is especially true if they acquired a functional e-mail address from a site that was previously hacked. So say you belonged to [insert website name here] and that site was hacked. The hackers would have access to a functional e-mail address, and they then might try to reset your GW2 password using that e-mail address.
