Missing mail due to full mailbox

I was wondering what happens to any mail that was sent to a full mailbox. I didn’t realize my mailbox was full and a friend sent me some dye. Now it’s not in his inventory and not in my mailbox even after I emptied it out. What happens to items when they’re sent to a full mailbox?

Hello everyone.

Jandia, as Awwgee correctly states, those mails and even items that did not arrive because of the full inbox will just arrive to you after few hours if you clean it.
