The original schedule for world bosses set Tequatl at an already painfully late for North American prime 7pm server time, as well as 4:30am and 10am. Those times are also Pacific Time. For Eastern Time, the most populous time zone in North America. those are 10pm, 7:30am, and 1pm.
Now, according to the official list of updates the 7pm server event is now 8pm server, pushing the event to a ridiculous 11pm Eastern Time. These changes have effectively shattered months of effort to build a sense of community around the event.
I had hoped for the event to be moved earlier before release, even if only an hour. As someone who has to go to work in the morning, the 7pm time slot was going to be a stretch for me. The 8pm server slot is right out.
Our secondary plan of having guilds try to produce Tequatl even once a week in rotation is also almost unachievable.
I find this frustrating, and I know I’m not the only one. I’ve formed friendships through helping organize Tequatl and I’d hoped to help others to the same. But this change has almost destroyed that hope.
