Mail issue

So i gave my friend ectos in order for him to get his legendary and he told me he would pay me back.

I stopped playing gw2 for a while (2months?) and apparently he sent the mail with the ectos he owed me 2 months ago.

So today i logged on and i did not receive his mail. He said he sent it by using my name in the guild roster page so he couldnt have messed up my name.

Can someone help me with this

Did you clear out your inbox? There’s a limit on how much mail you can have, past that it will hold messages in a queue until you make room. If you haven’t played in 2 months, you probably have several letters from the monthly events.
