Linking GW1 Account with Hacked Email

Hello, I believe the topic pretty much explains my problem, but just in case:
I had a GW1 account for a few years. It was set to my old email, which got hacked and I never was able to get back. I was wondering, if I was to link this account to my current account, would there be any security risks involved? I submitted a ticket about this, but all I seemed to get was an automated message (I believe). Anyway, thanks for the help in advance.

I would be sure you retrieve your account before you link it to your GW2 account. I would also be sure you tell Support that the email account associated with that first account was hacked, and they’ll of course need to verify that you are you and that you are the owner and all that good stuff, but they will do their best to help you.
