started to download the new patch at which point trend micro locked all guild wars2 files and prompted me to remove them via a computer restart. they trigger as HEU_AGEISCS219

Hi Timebandit (nice name, by the way) – For whatever reason this happens with security software after updates. All of a sudden it sees the game as a threat and decides to block all the things.
I’d make sure you have Guild Wars 2 added to the exceptions list of Trend Micro. Unfortunately I can’t walk you through this as all security software have a different interface, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to set up.
