If you’re lagging (latency, not graphically) please respond to this thread with the following information:

  1. If you’re actively lagging, type /ip into your Guild Wars 2 chat. This will provide us with the current server you’re playing on. Write that number down and include it in your post.
  2. Run a Trace Route to the IP address provided by /ip. You can do this via http://www.pingplotter.com or Command Prompt. Once you have the results, please screenshot the chart and include it as an attachment to your post.
  3. Also, please include the time of day you experienced the lag, the map you were playing on, and what was happening on the map.

Note – this thread is NOT for crashes.

Thanks guys!

As a heads up, you guys need to drop the :0 from the end of the IP address in order to run the commands listed above.

Hey all,

We’ve made some backend improvements that should help alleviate some of the latency issues in PvP.

If you continue to experience problems, please update this thread with the information I requested in my original post.

Thanks!
