Lag issues - it's not you, it's me.

Good news. I’m no longer lagging. I’m totally, 100%, utterly lag free.

Despite having the same symptoms as a lot of other players, I no longer have any problems at all. I even know what did it, even if I don’t know why.

I bought a Netgear N300 (DGN2200v3) router to use instead of my talktalk contract issued router. I figured I was sick of all the wifi dropouts from the tt router so I bought my own.

When I swap the old one back in, the problem goes away. I’m working through the settings now to try and work out what the issue actually was. I’m perfectly happy for someone from ANet to get in touch and help me understand teh cause of the problem, assuming they think this information may be useful.

So – Ashley – if you want to help me work through the cause of this issue in the hopes of a solution for everyone else, drop me a PM. If not, I’ll assume you’re not of the opinion my experience is relevant and I’ll get on with enjoying the game you guys made.

Hi SupahSpankeh – I was temporarily incredibly excited for you * insert excitable reaction gif * but then I saw your update

In your case, I think it’s best if you drop us a line and submit a technical support ticket. I’m curious to know what you’ve tried out in terms of troubleshooting with both routers. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this?
