Items lost in the mail

I just mailed a Sapphire Orichalcum Amulet of the Cleric to a friend and he never received it. I know I did not spell his name wrong in the message because I made sure to use his gw2 ID (name.####). Could there be something wrong with the mail servers and I just need to wait? And if there is an issue, can the item be recovered?

Thanks for letting us know this sorted out, and thanks for the suggestion, Grub.

I wanted to note that occasionally it’s best to clear out the whole mailbox. Even with open spaces, occasionally a mail gets persnickety and declines to get into the mailbox until it has a choice of spaces.

Anyway, take off all the items on the existing mails, then toss them and see if the mail will show up. I feel sure it will!
