Issue with Mobile Authentication

So within the past half hour, someone hacked into my account and I lost a decent amount of gold coins. I then changed my password and was also told about the mobile authentication that’s available for Guild Wars. When I tried to set it up online, it shows that I’m already linked to an authenticator when in reality, I’m not. I can’t unlink from the existing authenticator either since I don’t know the authentication code. What can I do about this? I do want a mobile authentication set up but I’m unable to. Hopefully the person that hacked into my account didn’t already set one up on their terms.

Yes, it’s not uncommon to see the sneaky tactic of “steal account/add mobile authenticator” to the stolen account. But Support can help you with this. Oftentimes, the hacker also has access to your e-mail account — in fact, that’s often how he/she gets onto your game account. So don’t be concerned if the agent asks you to submit a new ticket using a new, unique e-mail account; that’s just another security measure that is often helpful in adding an extra layer of security to previously-compromised accounts.
