I just got GW2 yesterday and I wake up today to see three login attempts from a CN ip address. I immediately changed my password and then tried to add the google authenticator to my Iphone. However, when I tried to scan the barcode I repeatedly received the following error “is not a valid authentication token barcode”.

What can I do to beef up my security if I cannot add the barcodes?

I went back again and tried entering it manually and just realized that the code changes quickly on the app. I was able to link the account successfully.
