Invite a friend: bought game&can't upgrade!

Hello, i invited one of my friends to play and he liked it. He went and bought the game from a local store but now he can’t upgrade it, There is no way to enter his serial number anywhere. When he clicks the upgrade button inside the game there is only an option to buy the game! Please help.

Yes. I can’t quote sarmatiko right now (forum glitch), but these are good tips:

1. Go to the https://register.guildwars2.com/
2. Notice link “How do I apply a serial code to an already existing account?” there.
3. Click on it. You will open relevant support page with explaining video.

If that does not work, please contact Support and they’ll give your friend a hand!
