In the late evening of October 22, I was gifted a digital deluxe edition for Guild Wars 2. I registered with her serial code, directed to the download client, and waited for the game installation to be completed the next morning. I logged into the game, but seeing as I was in a hurry to leave for my classes, I have yet to make a character on any server. I logged off. As I returned home, eager to play, I was surprised to see that my login information was dismissed as invalid. I followed through the instructions for account recovery, but it instantly alerts me an error has occurred and I should contact customer support.
I submitted tickets under account issues, password reset, and possible compromised account. I was provided with a link to reset my password on my first ticket. It went smoothly until I noticed the new password would not gain me entry to the game itself. I was prompted with the same alert to recover my account. I, once again, input the new password to log into the website, terribly not surprised to see that it is also dismissed as an invalid password. I quickly make a second ticket in frustration. I was provided with a manual password reset so as to change the password, though it has yet to allow for any of my complex passwords to be the current one.
I fear that if I should log out again from this website, I will not be able to reenter. I tested out my new passwords from two different computers. Whereas I am logged into the website with my laptop, my desktop PC has yet to be logged in, because the password(s) I was given were dismissed as invalid. I’m not sure what to do anymore. I was told to simply give up and ask for a refund when looking for outside help.
