I lost my Polla doll - suggestion for devs

Hi,
I was farming for BL keys 2 days ago, and accidentally deleted a ton which had Polla (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Polla) still equipped.
I opened a ticket with support, hoping they could restore it, but I was told this was not possible. I kind of don’t believe that it is impossible, but that’s not my point.

What I would like to propose is some kind of check that would warn you if you have these kinds of “special” items equipped, and throw a better warning that you will lose these items if you delete the toon.
Thoughts?
