How to _enable_ email authentication?

So we are able to disable the email authentication now if we have problems with it or whatever. However, I would like to enable it.

I had to authenticate my login for the last time on the 1st September, after that I never got any email again and was never asked to authenticate my login attempt. I did not disable the email authentication.

I have a dynamic IP address, which changes at least once every 24 hours, and given that the authentication system is ultimately based on the IP address, I should have gotten authentication emails. Also, on Wednesday 5th, I was at a completely different (physical) location (with a different IP again), and also was able to log in without authenticating.

So obviously the email authentication was disabled for me—how do I turn it on again?

Poke, it says that the authentication system is on for your account. Your observations are worth pursuing, for not getting an email from a nearby location isn’t too concerning — I think the system takes into account the dynamic IP situtaiton — but not getting one when you’re in a completely different location raises a question in my mind.

I will PM about this.
