i made a deal in game and even have a screen capture of a deal for a me to buy a weapon from another player for 100g he assured me he was legit even said i could have him banned if he didnt send it
so i sent the money he instantly blocked communications with me and never sent my item i clicked his name and reported him for scamming but my question is how do i open a ticket on this somehow
the support tickets only seem to cover account issues and not being scammed out of my gold as i said i have a screen capture of proof of the deal i made but that doesnt help me if i have no where to open a ticket or a report channel to have him banned

I’m really sorry this happened to you. Believe me, everyone on the CS Team is very sensitive to the damage that scammers do, and they’ll go out of their way to establish what took place so that the scammer is actioned, up to and including account termination. We can’t give back the items because in many cases they were shuttled off to another account or two, then sold, traded, or given to an innocent party. It seems easy — “just take back my stuff” — but when you’re looking at the person who bought an item on the TP not knowing it was stolen property, that person becomes an innocent victim, and that would not be fair at all.

The devs created the Trading Post to give you a safe and secure means of trading and selling items. I consider TP fees as “insurance that the other player will play fairly” so I don’t try to avoid them. I encourage you and every player to use the TP for all transactions.
