Few days back I’ve noticed a strange thing – I’ve been playing on Fissure of Woe home world since the day 1 but now it said that my home world is Fort Ranik instead.
I’ve never purchased any gems so I couldn’t switch servers by accident, so I reported this issue to ANet support team.
Feb 12 10:35I started playing on Fissure of Woe in 2012 and created all my characters there. I am pretty sure FoW was still my home server when I logged in last week. Today I checked and it says that my home server is Fort Ranik.
I’ve never purchased any gems so I could not made the transfer myself, and IP adresses in Authorized Networks look OK to me. Is my account compromised or is it some kind of error on your side?
I’d very much like to return to my original server since my friends play there.
Thanks…
Two days in, I got a reply.
Hello Stanislav,
Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team.
I understand how you might feel but unfortunately your account is not eligible for support assistance in transferring between game worlds. If you would like to change game worlds, please use gems to do so.
I am sorry that we could not fulfill you request in this situation, but please let us know if you have any other questions we can address.
Regards,
GM Wicho
WTF?
I’m sure they can see my gems purchase history or the history of my home world transfers, so why are they forcing me to pay them real world money just to solve what appears to be their bug?
What should I do now? I am not from the US so legal action against ANet just don’t seem right =D (EDIT: since people got confused, this was attempted joke)
EDIT:
Ticket # is 354116
