Have never been able to play GW2 since launch

Hopefully a mod or someone can see this and offer more help than the pathetic email support I’ve had to deal with. I pre purchased GW2 way back in April and I was too busy to play around launch but when I first tried to play a few weeks later, I was unable to log into my account. I can’t remember all the details but I was sent a password reset by support and confirmed it worked but by the time I was ready to play a few days later, the password no longer worked. This scenario repeated itself 2 more times before I got frustrated and asked for a refund which I received.

Afterwards, I decided to buy a physical copy of the game instead. I registered it to a new email address with all new account details to hopefully start from scratch to avoid these ridiculous problems but I’m still receiving the same log in error with the game client. It’s not a firewall or anything on my end. For some reason my account credentials are not working because the error I receive is the exact same as if I input random account name and password information. Yet I am able to successfully log into my account through the website.

So after 2 game purchases, a dozen emails, and countless log in attempts and password resets, I have still never been able to play an ounce of GW2 after a month of attempts. Please help me.

Please give me the two ticket numbers — the first issue and this one. I’m sorry that you’re frustrated, and naturally do want to help you, but without the account history/histories to review, I cannot really do so.

It appears that you are still unable to play. I asked a TS Rep to take a look at this and she recommended that you look at the response sent on October 14th and try the steps that they outlined then. Best of luck, and do let the team know if you need additional help.

Because some problems have been corrected and some still seem to be ongoing, I need to ask for you to please give me a concise outline of what’s going on now for you, in the “Tickets for Review” thread above. I will be sure to note it there tomorrow and can do some research at that time. Thank you.
