General Dungeon Discussion Thread

In memory of our lost thread, here is a general discussion thread.

So here’s what this is: We can talk about dungeons and dungeon related times. No name-shaming, insulting, fights, inappropriate talk, etc. I will personally report anything that might go against the ToS, even if I love you to death.

Anyway, we’ve started with player wins, lets continue! Anything that could be a win should be posted here, funny screenshots, or even funny conversations (without names) but nothing mean, angry, or hurtful.

Just keep it on-topic and avoid profanity, images full of profanity/inappropriate content, name-calling, and all the other bad things.

Was going to PM you this, but I had a question: If we made a discussion thread (and had it about dungeons, and dungeon related items and kept it clean, friendly, and not insulting) is that allowed? That is sort of what the fails thread turned into, and I am wondering if we can make a thread like that (assuming it adheres to the rest of the forum terms)?

Edit, also is it possible to get it just closed instead of deleted? There are a lot of posts and information and stuff there, that I’d love to be able to use (it’s basically my dungeon index)

First, yes, discussions of Dungeons and activity in them is why the Dungeons sub-forum exists.

And alas, the thread would have taken hours to go back and moderate. Our forum software does not allow us to do bulk deletions.

No. Get back on topic.

Hey Danicia, since you are so nice to care about the well being of our discussions here in this sub-forum, could you try to include in your daily report to ask the devs to give us a bit of attention?

This is absolutely doable.

Hey guys,

I love this thread, although I just spotted a few posts that really don’t belong, being rude and all.

What I noticed was the enormous size of the thread. I wanted your advice about whether I should close it so we can start a new thread. That doesn’t mean “Hey, new thread, post again!” and it bloats up to 4,000 posts. But the forums sometimes load slowly for me, and if it would be helpful, I could do something like split it into two — Part I, Part 2 — and lock the first to keep load times reason.

Let me know what y’all think about the thread (as far as load times):

  • Leave it be
  • Split into 2, locking part 1 with the older input
  • Lock this one intact and start a new thread

Hey guys,

This is a good thread, although I just spotted a few posts that made me pause. Ah, you’re quoting someone on another forum, I get it.

That’s good feedback, Jerus. I sense that you haven’t had slow load times, which is good to know.

I will leave it be and check back for feedback in a day or so. If it’s “Please put me out of my misery and split the thread11!11” I’ll do so. Otherwise, it seems just grand as it is.

Personally, I would have trouble finding any old information if this thread were in any way locked or changed, especially since the search function on these forums doesn’t always work right.

I think it would be very confusing for many people if they can’t find information due to the thread being changed.

I think this thread should stay the same.

I take this on board, and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The last thing I want to do is to deflect or throttle discussion because as I said, this is a a really great thread. Given the… umm… “less-than-stellar quality” of our search engine, I agree we should just leave it be.

You folks update this if you’re finding “Haaalp, it crashes my computer!”

Ok, back to the General Dungeon Discussion…
