Why is this game so expensive?

I spent $50 worth of gems and I don’t even have enough to unlock all bag and bank slot… Let alone the character expansions, etc that is all unlocked and unrestricted in a sub MMO.

Like are you serious? The pricing of gem looks more like a highway robbery…
