Game crashing computer - RAM corruption?

Occasionally now and then my computer will completely crash when playing Guild Wars 2. It’s been at a tolerable level but I’d rather it not crash at all. One thing I’ve noticed when it crashes is that when I start up the game patcher it will tell me that I have hardware issues. When I click on it the message that comes up tells me that I have less than 2gb of RAM. I have 4gb of RAM on my computer. Usually a restart or two will fix whatever problem it is but right now I’ve restarted my computer like 5+ times ankittenep getting that message. I have a suspicion that either my RAM is busted or that Guild Wars 2 is doing something funky to my RAM. I don’t know.

Hi Kojiden – I’d like to take a look at two reports from you to get a better understanding of the issue you’re experiencing. First, can you navigate to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and locate the ArenaNet.log file? Next, I’d like to collect a Game Advisor report so I can look into why you might be experiencing this crash. You can download the Game Advisor application at the link below:

Please note that you will be automatically prompted to install Game Advisor upon clicking the link. Once you’ve generated the report, you can attach it to this thread by clicking “More posting & formatting options…”
