This is a thread to share stories of some of the funniest/saddest player fails you’ve ever done or seen in a dungeon run. It doesn’t matter what dungeon as long as it’s a story worth telling.
The greatest fail I’ve ever been subjected to was in some low lvl fractal (16 or 26) that I joined half way through to help 2 buds. They were on their 2nd fractal after 2 hours. It was cliffside. I soon found out why one guy left. The other 2 players (warrior and guard) were hilarious. We 3 maned the arm seals (the other 2 insta died… somehow) then just had to go up the ramp and kill the boss. It took the warrior about 5 minutes to make it up the ramp but it took the guard over 20. To make matters worse, he kept picking up the hammer and trying to run it up. The best part is, he’d grab the hammer, hold it too long, go down, res himself, then pick the freaking thing right back up again. He fully killed himself twice! Ofc we were trying to explain how the hammer works, how stability works, etc. but the guy refused to listen and kept doing whatever he thought he was doing. The absolute best part is the hammer bugged during the fight (2 dropped and 1 never went away) so the guard kept picking the 2nd hammer up, hold onto it for too long, drop, repeat. I don’t know why we didn’t kick him.
Thank god we got water for the 3rd or else I might have left as well. It took about an hour though since the guard wouldn’t go to the lanterns. The boss would just follow him around while we were only doing normal damage the entire time.
Now the worst part. The guy had a tier 1 fractal backpiece meaning he was carried through fractals by other groups long enough to buy the 1350 token backpiece and he still had no idea about the basics of the game.
