In my opinion, people should be getting full refunds for this because this is starting to get ridiculous.
My friend has still not been able to play for 2 months on the game that he paid for, and the botter still has access to his account freely using it to bot. Obviously his support tickets have lied to him saying that nobody can access his account anymore because I see him online constantly and have reported it, but no, there’s still a botter on his account. A full refund or some other compensation allowing him to play the game needs to be implemented for the failure of Anet to deal with these account problems in a reasonable manner.
I’m not just talking about him, either. People who have had their accounts hacked and have been told that it is their own fault they got hacked, when clearly it was not (example: my friend had a completely different password / email for this game, and the hacker was allowed to change his email freely and without obstruction). It has been over 2 months and still Anet has done a terrible job to compensate and/or accommodate their own customers.
Please come up with a policy of a full refund, so people can get their stolen money back. Or come up with a solution that accommodates these people (example: letting them make a new and secure account after deleting their previous account and give it ironclad security to prevent future intrusions).
