Failed phishing countermeasure

I got an email this morning telling me someone across the globe tried to get into my account. I hesitantly clicked the link after scanning over it a few times and it did bring me to the GW2 page, but when I clicked “Deny Access” it said “An Error has occurred.”

I sincerely hope that’s not the case. It’s a little concerning to know that I failed to deny someone the access to my account across the globe. Is there any way to reassure myself that I can keep that person out?

Remember that anyone can fake just about any address. I look at the properties of an email to see where it really came from.

And yep, I’d change your p/w and watch your history carefully. If someone had your p/w you should be ok with a change to something unique and complex.
