Do I need to redownload/reinstall GW2 for new computer or can I just copy the files from my old hard drive?

Do I need to redownload/reinstall GW2 for my new computer or can I just copy the files from my old hard drive?

My new comp is Windows 8 desktop PC
My old comp was Windows Vista laptop

I thought the dat file was the same on all computers but I’m not sure.
