Did my account name got changed?

I haven’t signed into the game for about a week, but when I did so tonight, I was surprised to see my account name has been changed from Chlamydia to Mach.Lady. I’ve used Chlamydia since the first betas and never had a problem and I use it in several other games as well. It’s not any of my character names, it’s just my account name on the forums. Also, my char names are all the same as they were and the inventory seems to be ok for each one.

My initial worry is that someone besides Anet changed my account. Could someone in Anet please confirm or deny that part? I have not received any email or forum notice that Anet did it – nor was there a notification upon logging in tonight.

We don’t allow names related to sexually transmitted diseases for what I would assume are obvious reasons. Now that you’ve received the message, you’re aware of this and I hope will make better choices about names in the future.
