IF I delete GW2 o my comp and re-download the client, will my characters, gold, etc still be maintained? I would think they should since account contents is stored online. Thanks.

Yes, everything is retained by us in our databases. That is why you can install on multiple computers or play from a friend’s house. You’ll be just fine.
