Community Managers?

“Every discussion thread is welcome as long as it keeps on the topic and free from personal allusions/attacks. This thread has gone rampant in both respects and because ot that, we will proceed to close it. Thanks for your understanding.”

Just a follow up on a closed thread. Given that this is an open forum with people that have differing views on the state of a game they either love or wanted to love, isn’t it a given there will be disagreements? If a Community Manager feels TOS were broken or a personal attack was made, isn’t it easier to delete that post rather than close the thread?

Just curious as there have been quite a few threads I felt opposing sides were moving the dialogue forward only to have a few come in and have the subsequent thread closed.

Hi everyone.

This subforum in particular tends to get off-topic quite quickly and a great number of topics are being posted two or more times by different users dealing exactly with the same issues; a great number of them go off-topic in a matter of some posts. If we do proceed to lock or close some of these threads is because they have simply broken a rule of the code of conduct, not because we do not want to hear your opinions or discussions.

The community brings the air and the fun to the forums and we are absolutely open to hear each of your thoughts as long as they stay on topic, polite and constructive.

Thank you very much.
I will proceed now to close this thread.
