I posted this is Tech support but I thought maybe this was a Bug so I thought I would post this here to try and get it figured out.

During cutscenes I can barely hear the characters/npcs voice.
I have the Dialog Volume slider at maximum within Sound Options. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling. I have unplugged my headphones and tried speakers.

Sound works fine with every other aspect of the game. I can hear the npcs and my character with no problems at all. It only happens during cutscenes.(cinematic conversations)

I am getting SOME sound. like if i max out all my volume setting i can hear a slight whisper in these cinematic conversations, and when it is over my ears are bleeding because everything is back to normal sound

Is your system’s audio set up for surround? (4 or more speakers.) Dialogue is normally played mostly to the center speaker, so if you only have 2 actual speakers (or headphones) but it’s trying to play the audio as if you had a multispeaker system, the dialogue will be extremely faint.

I’m glad it’s working better now. I don’t know much about how GW2 is set up to use multispeaker setups, I just know I’ve into the same issue in the past. (Going from a 7 speaker setup to headphones causing some audio to drop out, etc.)
