Chinese hacker has stolen my account!

Over the past week, I have been receiving emails about log-in attempts coming from an IP in China. I thought nothing of it until i recently installed the game again..

I have recovered my account and changed the password. (The hacker had done that for themselves too)

The problem I am experiencing is that the hacker is online as I type this and wont allow me to access my account.

A character created by the hacker named, “Week Sey” level 80 Norn Warrior is on my account which I intend to delete.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

I do agree that it appears your email is compromised in addition to your account. I suggest you do a thorough system scan using updated security software. If you need other tips, you’re welcome to contact our Technical Support Team.

The suggestion to wrest control of the account and remove the approved networks is good, but it may be only a stopgap measure if someone can still access your emails. You need to sort of “go back to basics” to make sure everything is clear.
