Change of Transm Splitter Legend lost forever

I have left the game for quite awhile now and plan on returning to the game and intend on bringing with me a few other friends. Back when this incident happened there was an item called the transmutation splitter. Feeling confident that nothing would change with that item i transmuted the skin of my Eternity with a Mighty Greatsword so that i could play around with the skin of the legendary weapon with a low leveled mesmer. However to my dismay returning back just a few days ago with the introduction of the wardrobe function, and with the change of the transmutation splitter i am no longer able to get my original Eternity back. I am now stuck with a Mighty Greatsword with the skin of eternity. To avoid further confusion this transmutation was done 10 months ago way before the wardrobe function ever existed. I basically got screwed over with this change. I have submitted a ticket Reference no. 836620 however the response i got back from the customer support GM were unsatisfactory, my request was simply brushed off with a somewhat auto generated reply of " Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team.
At this time, we are unable to fulfill your request. However, please feel free to contact us in the future if we can help you with other issues or concerns. " The reply was slow and it seems like customer service didnt even bother to put in effort to help me with this issue. Because of the changes of the transmutation splitter my legendary stat item is lost forever and i have no intention of crafting another. Please do something about this. As this is a huge turn off for me and my intentions of bringing a few friends in. Thanks for reading this long post
