First, you appear to be using a 32-bit version of Windows, but have 4 gigs of RAM installed. Due to a limitation in 32-bit Windows only 3.3-3.5 gigs of RAM are recognized. Basically, you are not using all of the RAM you have installed. You should consider switching to Windows 64-bit to take advantage of all the RAM currently installed.

Regarding the inability to install:

  • Close your game completely.
  • Ensure your game is set to Run As Administrator in the game shortcut or game executable’s Properties > Compatibility tab.
  • Ensure the ‘Read Only’ attribute is not set in the right-click > Properties for Gw2.exe, Gw2.tmp and Gw2.dat files in the installation directory.
  • Then re-launch and see if the issue persists.

Also, uninstalling and re-downloading should be a last resort option to solve an issue due to the time it takes to re-download. Instead you should consider running a repair on the client to see if it can fix the issue. Also, after you download and fully patch your game, consider making a backup copy of the game directory someplace else on your drive so you do not need to re-download the whole game again if you must re-install and can just copy the backup over.
