cant log in to update a trial to a full

This past weekend i got my father to play the game as a trial account, he enjoyed the game enough that he went out and bought the game today, once he got home and tried to log in it said he needed a security key but no place to put it, since he cant log in to upgrade in game does he need to make a new account? or is there a different fix for this, any help is appreciated

He should be able to go to the Account Management Page and add his code. Find that page here: https://account.guildwars2.com.

Alternately, I think he’d be able to log into the game and add the code in the log-in interface. Certainly one of these options will work. If not, please contact Support and they’ll lend a hand.
