Well, I have recently decided to TRY return to the game after quite a large break. I downloaded the GW2 setup from the website and it downloaded fine, but after logging in, I am now stuck on the launcher on (what I presume is) a very big patch update as I have been absent from the game for a number of months. It goes generally well up until it reaches 1% completion, at which point it slows down to 0KB/sec. Sometimes it will boost back up to it’s starting point of 3MB/sec, but the download still doesn’t reach even 2% before I get the “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying” message which stays on until I close the launcher and retry the whole process again. Anyone know what I can do? as I reached 10% yesterday before failure which is the highest I have gotten within my 2 days of trying to download and play the stupid game..
