Cannot add authenticator to account

iPhone pops up message when I try to scan barcode:

Invalid Barcode

thebarcode ‘otpauth://totp/gw2 [email protected]?
secret=LOTSOFCHARACTERS’ is not a valid authentication token barcode

I did fresh reinstall of iOS google auth app and reboot of phone.

Hmmm. I’ll do a check and see what I can learn about this.
